And...Nobody Got Hurt!

In keeping with recent posts on weight loss (gain!), and outsourcing resolutions, thought I'd share a little heartwarming story from WOOF.

Proud of recent efforts to watch my weight, I felt compelled to share my strategy with my husband.

"I'm not sure if you noticed," I beamed over dinner one night, "I'm trying to cut down on my calories by only filling one plate instead of using side dishes for salads and vegetables."

"I noticed," he remarked, "and must say that I have a lot of admiration for you."

A smug, satisfied smile crossed my face until he added, "You must be closing in on the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest dinner plate."

(The amazing part of this story is that...HE'S STILL ALIVE!)

Heehee, that's what I like a woman of strength and willpower.

My husband tiptoes on eggshells when it comes to responding to anything when I ask him about my weight loss efforts. But he's also my biggest motivator by going to workout with me and not getting upset because I don't keep up with him. He just leaves me behind.

Yep. It took willpower not to dump the whole plate of food on his head! Thanks, Karen.

My husband's favorite phrase (usually) is "I have no opinion." Thanks for stopping by, Beverly.

Hi Mary--

You might try testing your level of tolerance (and your hubby's life) by turning around and asking that infamous query: "Does my butt look big in this?" I've done it and I know the answer.
Hopefully your husband is wiser than mine and remember that silence is golden. That will go a long way to keeping him breathing!

I wouldn't think of giving him such a HUGE test! (ahem) Might want to keep him around a while longer!

Thanks for the suggestion, Eileen.
