Woofers Get Award!

We were honored recently when "Life of a Publisher" blogger, Karen Syed, gave Women Only Over Fifty the Premio Dardos Award for our effort, knowledge and encouragement to readers.

This award is given to acknowledge blogs that have cultural, ethical, literary and personal values.

In turn, we'd like to honor a few of our favorite blogs for reaching out to not only WOOFers, but readers of all generations who encourage self-awareness, good will, and literacy throughout the world.

The rules are:

1) Accept the award by posting it on your blog along with the name of the person that has granted the award and a link to his/her blog.

2) Pass the award to other blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgement, remembering to contact each of them to let them know they have been selected for this award.I would like to present this award to the following sites in appreciation for all the effort, knowledge, and encouragement they offer to their readers.

Our honorees are:

I am honored to be honored and also honored that you have chosen to honor two fellow members of Boomer Diva Nation: Rhea Becker of the Boomer Chronicles and Eileen Williams of Feisty Side of Fifty. We are honored to join you as women on the move and making a difference!

Dear Woofers-
You like me--YOU REALLY LIKE ME!!!
How can I thank you enough? This award is the pinnacle of my blogging career and, as a woofer with a young pup heart, I accept it with a great big toothy grin--no bones about it!
However, I hadn't realized your great honor until after I posted so will reserve my acceptance speech until next time. I did, however, refer and link to your blog as it is one of my very favorites.
Love you feisty gals!

Thanks, Beverly and Eileen. Your comments are most appreciated.

If we can bring an occasional smile or an "ah-ha" moment to other WOOFers, then we're accomplishing our goal.

Your blogs are proof that Boomers have an smszing support system.

Thank you so much for including my blog-magazine Riehlife in your lists of blogs you extend the award to. I am truly honored.

At this time I must pass the torch on to other honorees; I am spending less time online as I spend more time on sustained writing projects.

Again, thank you and I appreciate being mentioned in the list of illustrious WOOF-ers.
